Mentorship programme

Since May 2022, the cell has started a mentorship program for closer interaction with our students.

UG students can choose their mentors based on the department. PG students can contact mentors from their department or the cell directly.

SC/ST Mentorship Programme 2025-2026

Fresher’s Companions will be assigned to each first-year UG student from SC/ST community, with the responsibility of staying connected with them, offering guidance through various challenges, and monitoring students who may be struggling in different aspects of their academic and personal life.

Department-level Companions will support second-year and above undergraduate students with responsibilities similar to those of a Fresher Companion. In addition, they will help ensure a smooth and healthy transition into key institute milestones such as internship season, placements, project opportunities, and identifying suitable positions of responsibility (PoRs).

Companion’s Coordinators are experienced students in their pre-final or final year, each assigned a group of mentors. They are responsible for conducting weekly check-ins with mentors, addressing concerns, identifying red flags, and ensuring timely support for students who require focused attention.
